The Bitter Bastard (TBB) is a 25-year old askal (quarter spanish quarter chinese half filipino mogul) who’s a self-declared cynic and has an opinion on about anything.
TBB is scared of normal people. He usually sees things in an eye-rolling kinda way, with a bit of toilet humor in it.
He will always remind you that a glass half full will soon be empty if you keep on drinking. He will stress how ugly you are in person when you’re photogenic. He appreciates other people’s blogs no matter how crappy. What he hates are blogs written the cristy fermin style – the “oh-emm-gee-i-am-sooOOoo-smart” choice of words, but content is nonetheless hypocritical if not plain stupid. TBB’s shit stain on crumpled tissue would look better.
TBB does not show mercy on people with prejudice with race, religion, wealth, education, or family background. He believes that the biggest problem in the world would have been solven when it was still small, and considers prejudice/discrimination as one of the most lethal virii. And like what Maricel Soriano said in an isopropyl alcohol ad, “Ang mga germs, hindi bine-baby.PINAPATAY.” (Don’t you just love the zing of the Filipino language?)
TBB’s sarcasm, however, is only surpassed by his empathy, being able to channel someone’s emo call to a work of art.
His poetry is usually inspired by the people around him who are suffering, and make contemporary poems based on what TBB would feel, had he switched shoes with the poor fellow. Some of his works, however, are his personal sentiments. If you know him, you’ll sense which of those reflect his real identity.
His lits have produced controversy among peers who know him but don’t understand his style. And he enjoys seeing disturbed looks as he’s someone who’s likely to start a commotion amidst the silence.
He would sometimes insert fillers every now and then. Fillers are other literary works that he admires, or he finds to be worth sharing. TBB doesn’t mind people quoting him (even when he’s not given credit–he’s not an attention whore) for as long as people don’t explicitly say that it was theirs.
One thing’s for sure, though. If the tag says “bitter bastard”, that means he wrote it himself. So take cover.
Wanna know more about him? Too bad. You can’t.

allow me to present a theory.
you mourned joma’s sison death on your blog and it’s not surprising that you’d use that as your new nick. when you saw that you can put in a hoax email address just like dredd you figured that this would be the best way to conceal your identity, and so you did.
you were upset that i did not find you worth arguing so you needed to prove yourself that you are not to be underestimated, but there was no venue for you to do it in my blog. so i put in the macgyver exercise, which will compel you to save grace. and i allowed you to.
i bet you are waiting for the shining moment where you will say “HA!I’ve outsmarted TBB, the joma that you’ve been praising is no other than J*** M*******!”
of course i could only be assuming and i would like to dismiss that theory, except that you are using the exact same pool of ip addresses.

and women who would deny men their chance at love just because that guy doesn’t fit her standards of a knight in shining armor? major turn-off. I think I was clear on that in my entry “Arrogance of Tests.”

but i especially liked these 3 cartoons
CONAN THE ADVENTURER - i like the plot of this story. conan is out to kill a certain villain. along the way he helps other people (fillers). when the day of the final encounter comes, all the people he helped came to save him just when he’s about to get pawned. what goes around, comes around.
YAIBA - i like the plot when he and his friends get inside mount fuji on a mission to take a certain powerful artifact (sphere of the dragon god). the path of course is full of traps and all his friends sacrificed their lives to save him.
when at last he is inside the dragon temple the dragon god appeared and resurrected all his friends. the dragon god made him choose: he can only choose one: his friends, or the sphere. i made the wrong choice (yaiba got it right). the dragon god explained the rationale of the choice. impressive!
A DOG OF FLANDERS - the story of a poor boy and his dog Patrasche that still makes my heart heavy just thinking what happened until his death. He did not deserve anything that was inflicted on him. he was bullied because he was poor, he did not win the art competition because the judges decided that the award should be given to the sponsor’s son instead. he was accused of burning the rice mill. all of these were revealed, pero aanhin pa ang damo…

–haha i like gin kapit (walang chaser so pagkainom mo, mapapakapit ka na lang sa mesa haha)
seriously, i used to go for hard drinks. i like vodka, absolut varieties (curant, raspberi,citron etc). I tried absinthe. like…oh so this is what kerosene tastes like. too bad, no green fairies like in the movie euro trip

– oh i can remember this. it was on a sunday, like only 3 of us shared 1.5 liters of Carlos I the night before (as usual no chaser, neighbor’s birthday, so Carlos kapit) i was asked by my boss to go to work the following day, and the hangover was impossible. of all the things i had to eat, i ordered SAPGHETTI!!! I didn’t get to the toilet bowl in time so i puked on the sink instead and clogged it with noodles.
alcohol and mathematics are a lethal combination. don’t drink and derive. (got this from pards)
That was the last time I “really” drank alcohol. After that, I’m now satisfied with a six-pack.I still drink but just enough to get me tipsy.
i kinda miss the feeling, though.
3. naah, ako usually yung taga akay ng mga shenglots. i even wash dishes after everyone’s asleep. lakas ng trip no haha

I’ll tell you what my answer was when I was a kid, first. I chose the sphere. My logic is they have already died for the ultimate goal and if I choose them over the sphere, I would have wasted their sacrifice, and I would have doomed the Earth along with them.
He chose his friends. He said that he will beat their enemy with or without the sphere.
When Yaiba was about to attack, the dragon god gave him back his friends, and entrusted him with the sphere. Yaiba didn’t understand why he was given both.
The dragon god explained that IF you choose to sacrifice friendship in pursuit of power, it will corrupt you sooner or later, no matter how righteous your intentions are.
Yaiba asked what if he chose the sphere, the dragon god without a blink of an eye answered “you would have been burned with your friends.”
